Well, the end of the year is now in view. Businesses are all sitting down and laying out the strategy to finish the year as strongly as they possibly can. We all go through this every year, don’t we?
Except this year is drastically different than many prior years. We began the year with very high expectations…but then the covid19 pandemic happened.
By March, the business landscape looked very different, but we all had hopes that we would be back to normal within a few weeks or, at most, a month. By June, however, this clearly was not going to happen, and all bets were off.
So now, as we are facing wrapping up the year, how do we finish a year strongly that never truly started in the first place?
It is similar to something we talk about in all our materials: how do you close a sale that never really got started? How do you close a door that was never actually opened?
At this point, we are coming out of summer, which because of the pandemic did not really get a chance to happen, either. Now we have got to try and finish up a year in a strong way that never got off the ground.
Since it is something we all have to face, we have made this the main topic of our newsletter and blogs this month. Because I do not know about you, but I am going to do all I can to make this the best year ever, despite everything!
How about you?
Yours in Sales,
